Quick Deployment of Meteorological and Comprehensive Air Quality Assessment in Hazardous Environments or Locations Requiring Data Quickly

By the time downwind air quality data are generally available after an air quality incident, the period of peak exposure is well past.  Air sampling is needed more rapidly to be useful in assessing the impacts on human health and welfare.  Sullivan Environmental has extensive experience in ambient air quality sampling and meteorological monitoring to help fill the coverage gap that often occurs.  Full documentation in the form of a formal report can be available for purchase by individuals, government agencies, attorneys, and corporate entities following an incident that we sample for.

Sullivan Environmental Consulting, Inc. has a quick deployment system that can collect air quality data anywhere in the country – the day of or the day after the incident (based on staff availability) – This is a critical capacity that is generally lacking in the industry and is very useful in the reconstruction of air quality exposures associated with an incident.

  • All of the air sampling and meteorological station instrumentation is directly conducted by a meteorologist with approximately 20 years of field experience and experience testifying as an expert related to air quality litigation matters.
  • The particulate data monitoring (PM 2.5) data is logged every minute using instrumentation that is used by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  • After sampling is completed at the site of the incident, data are sent to a certified laboratory for GC/MS analysis.
  • This equipment can be deployed anywhere in the United States the day of or the day after an incident using TSA-compliant luggage designed specifically for this use.
  • The documentation and reporting of the samples include independent laboratory analysis, a comprehensive, detailed expert report that includes air sample chain of custody (COC) transfer forms, documentation of calibration, GPS coordinates for all measurements, measurements of sensor heights as instrumented, and other pertinent data.
  • All air sampling and meteorological monitoring is directly conducted by a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP).
  • This research is completed following the signed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Sullivan Environmental Consulting, Inc.
