We Are Highly Experienced When it Comes to Odor Sampling and Assessment

Sullivan Environmental specializes in conducting preliminary odor sampling and detailed analysis through a dilution threshold sampling method utilizing a field olfactometer. This innovative approach allows for accurate measurement of odor intensity in the environment. Additionally, after the initial sampling, additional air samples are collected using a sophisticated vacuum chamber sampling system, ensuring that the samples remain uncontaminated. 


Additionally, these samples are stored in specialized Tedlar bags (see example) designed to preserve the integrity of the odor for subsequent laboratory analysis.  Once collected, the samples are sent to an expert odor laboratory, where trained panels evaluate and analyze the odors, providing comprehensive insights into their characteristics and potential sources.


Sullivan Environmental has conducted odor sampling in various environments, such as waste transfer facilities, fumigation applications, and a gas station. Our Certified Consulting Meteorologists can supplement air sample results with dispersion modeling analysis.
